Our volunteers are one of the foundations of our success and truly the backbone of our mission. They play a vital role in helping us take care of our students through a wide variety of ways. We we couldn’t do it without them! We focus on making sure our volunteers have meaningful experiences as they interact with our students and staff.
Volunteers work in all other capacities including: administration, mentoring/tutoring, kitchen duties, fundraising, library, boutique management, special event coordination, and transportation.
Currently, opportunities to volunteer in our Elizabethtown campus are available Monday-Friday. Our Radcliff campus is open on Thursdays with similar opportunities there.
Schedule: Volunteers may work on days/hours that fit into their schedule and may volunteer to work one, two (or more) days per week. MHFK follows the local school schedule with the exception of a 6 week summer program.
Benefits: While these are unpaid positions, the blessings abound. We have some of the smartest kids in Hardin County and you will not only be a blessing, but will be blessed in return.
Due to the nature of our mission, all volunteers must be 14 years or older. Applicants 18years and older must agree to a background check.
